What's New at Breechwood ?
covid-19 Standard Operating Procedure
June 18, 2020
In this climate, you may have some concerns about a visit to Northern Ontario, but we want you to know the safety of our guests and staff is our top priority. An advantage of a Breechwood Lodge visit is that the accommodations are separate for each booking, as we have four cottages sufficiently spaced throughout the island. Each cottage has a private outhouse, deck and dock. There is lots of outdoor open space to enjoy, that allows for physical distancing between cottage guests throughout the island.

In response to the ongoing COVID-19 threat, and to safely operate in a changed world, we’ve developed a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) to keep guests and staff safe that can be viewed here.
If you have any questions related to your 2020 rental or are looking to book, please reach out to us at breechwoodlodge@outlook.com.

The Canada-U.S. border closure has been extended until July 21. We plan to operate until the end September and will continue to monitor border restrictions.

Stay safe!

State of emergency extended
June 2, 2020
The Ontario government extended the state of emergency until June 30, 2020, which prohibits all non-essential businesses from opening unless granted an industry exception. The province's reopening plan is not impacted by the state of emergency and it is our hope that we will be granted an exception and be allowed to open during phase two of the plan. However, at this time normal operations at Breechwood Lodge continue to be suspended.

We continue to receive and follow the communications from our local public health unit.
If you have any questions related to these COVID-19 disruptions or your 2020 rental, please reach out to us at breechwoodlodge@outlook.com.

Hope you and your families are staying safe and we hope to see you soon.

Ice out
May 21, 2020
Ice out happened on May 17 on Anima Nipissing Lake. We arrived May 21 to inspect the property for any winter damage and perform essential property maintenance. A few trees were down, but luckily none damaged any of the cottages or buildings. We are preparing the cottages for guest arrival and implementing any necessary changes to ensure the safety of all.

COVID-19 UPDATE
May 8, 2020
We hope all past and future Breechwood Lodge guests and their families are safe, happy and healthy. As the 2020 season approaches we are thinking about you all.
Due to the current and mandated government measures to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and in the best interest of our guests, Breechwood has temporarily suspended normal operations. These emergency orders are scheduled to be in place through May 19th in Ontario. We will be open for cottage rentals immediately thereafter, subject to any reduction or extension of the emergency orders.
If you have any questions related to these COVID-19 disruptions or your 2020 rental, please reach out to us at breechwoodlodge@outlook.com.

Thank you for staying home and being patient in these challenging times. We are grateful to frontline workers and their families, who continue to protect and serve us during these times.
Hopefully there will be some better news soon and brighter days ahead.
